Dylan's Yankee's

Dylan played Tee Ball for the NY Yankees. He had fun and he couldn't have played for a better team!
Dylan hit a foul ball but as you can see he has excellent form! When he hits it it goes.

Towada Camping

We went camping at Lake Towada this weekend and had a great time. The weather was great and everyone enjoyed themselves. Last week we had a 6.8 earthquake in Northern Japan and the orasie gorge road to the campsite was closed due to a landslide so we had to take an alternate route. This earthquake was the biggest I have ever felt and lasted about 2 minutes.

Uncle Arlie, Grandma, and cousins

Dylan learned to ride bike W/out training wheels

I apologize for not updating in awhile but I went back to the states to get my dog and had to travel with work in May and June so I have not had alot of time. Grace is not good with taking pictures and we both seem to forget the camera when we are in a hurry. Today Dylan rode his bike for the first time w/out training wheels. I was so proud of him and he needed very little coaching. I gave him 1 push and he was off. He truely suprised me today and rode the entire day. Next Dylan and I will try to teach Lindsey and Mommy how to ride.

More of Grace's extended family

Big Bear's arrival to Japan

As many of you know I had to leave Bear with my parent's because the airlines would not fly him. (Note: American Airlines is not pet friendly). I went back in April with United airlines to get him which was costly but definetly worth it. Japan is rabbies free and a lot of requirements and paperwork are required to bring a dog to Japan. He is an excellent family dog and we are all glad he is with us now!!!

American Day 2008

American day is an annual event Misawa has in which we share our culture with the local Japanese. It is an event where they have a booth for every state and share some of the state's culture. The weather wasn't the greatest but a big turnout.

Easter

We had a great Easter where the kids got to do an easter egg hunt and a kiddie disco with the Easter Bunny.

We missed the 3 to 6 yr old easter egg hunt because church ran a lttle late. We had to say Dylan was 7yrs old and he went with the big kids (7-12). His mission was gather as many eggs as he could for him and his sister. He did great!!!

Spring is here!!!!

Today we went to one of Japan's earth days where we picked up trash and released Salmon into a local stream. After we went to the Misawa Community Center for a Japan & American Potluck. The local Japanese taught us how to make Sushi roll. Despite all the controversy in the media about U.S military in Japan we have it good with the Locals here in Misawa.

Japan's Statue of Liberty! We went to the local Japanese Statue of Liberty park where the kids were able to play. They say this statue is in the same latitude as the statue of liberty in NYC.

Lindsey ballet class

Lindsey at ballet. This really tires her out and some weeks she does not want to go.
